Saijo Persimmon
Old Japanese variety known as 'The Very Best One.' Medium, elongated, astringent yellow fruit. Gourmets claim it to be the sweetest of the persimmons. Zones 6 to 9. Can be dried while firm which removes the astringency. Ripens in November. 200 hours. Self-fruitful. On Lotus rootstock.
